recorded from aug 2020- jan 2021, "tales from the shark ark" is an oddity for the shark, as there are 5 tracks with vocals! the other 3 studio albums are completley instrumental, other than john mcgowan's narration on "indimensional time" from "a trick in time" and ellie maguire's 1 vocal track on the same album- with "morte macabre" -back in 2012. mike "moogtron" sings in a punky -hawkwind stylee fashion on this album- also adding narration at the beginning of "SPACEWAR". damian maguire is back on drums for tracks 1,2,3,5,6,7& 8. and moogtron mike plays drums on tracks 4 and the epic track 9 "spacewar", which, over it's 35 mins is completely instrumental, other than a little narration. it's a mammoth work,- beginning with a vangelis/symphonic-like intro and then morphing into a full-on cosmic battle- which took alot of work to complete, we're very pleased with the overall results. Manikin timeshark began as far back as 2004, originaly a concept of damian maguire (drums) as a drum n' bass/dance band. before changing the name to manikin timeshark, in 2010, more musicians were recruited, and a full band took the stage at the winchester -bournemouth in oct 2010. debut album "a trick in time" was released in 2012. 2 more albums since then, and a new album in the offing. ... more
